Dance the Year Away Contest

Submit your application for the 2009-10 DANCE THE YEAR AWAY Contest!
Email: badgie@badgerettepompon.com for your application and submit a recent pom picture. Each month, beginning in JULY, one young dancer will be selected and featured right here! At the end of the pom*dance season in March 2010, we will celebrate our "School Spirit Week". You will be able to cast your vote on-line for your favorite dancer and support them in school and your community by raising money for M.S. and the Senior Scholarship Fund! Nominate yourself or your favorite dancer TODAY!

Thank you for the incredible response our nominees received with online voting last week. We are proud to donate to the WI Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Badgerette Scholarship fund! Each donation dollar will represent 1 vote that will be combined with the online votes. Great job to all that participated ! $2,766.01 was raised for the causes!

Marlene Ridgway ~ Cudahy HS, WI = 2408
Marlene was our November nominee. Her on-line votes and donation total came to 2408! Marlene shared that this was a wonderful experience for her as her school was very supportive & got involved. She set up a table for support at parent/teacher conferences at CHS. Her family also helped spread the word to encourage online voting & donations. She sold orange wristbands her mother helped her make both in the school & community. Great Job Marlene... you are our "Dance the Year Away" winner!
Marlene says: "Thank you again. I couldn't have done it without all the support of my family and the community. I am so glad a had this opportunity on poms, and I am so thankful for the Badgerette staff, you have all helped me become the person I am. Thank you so much."

Brittany Garcia ~ Franklin HS, WI = 2181.01
Brittany represented July for our DTYA contest. Her on-line votes and donation total came to 2181.01! She got her school & community involved with online voting and spreading theword about M.S. at Franklin High School. Brittany sold orange M.S. bracelets, as well as, homemade frosted cookies at school to raise funds for the cause. Great job Brittany, we are proud of you!
